ENVIROWEEK

Environment Week has arrived! Sirius college students and staff have had many opportunities to get involved with a variety of activities and initiatives related to the Environment and sustainability. Students and staff have been challenged to make a pledge to adopt more sustainable behaviours during environment week, such as carpooling to school, packing rubbish-free lunch and wearing layers instead of cranking up the heater. Hopefully some of these daily pledges will turn into regular habits. There are many ways to incorporate sustainable behaviours into our everyday lives. Encourage your children to make a pledge which is realistic and perhaps make a pledge of your own.. Get involved!

RUOKAY? DAY

The second Thursday of September is RUOK? Day. All around Australia, RUOK? Day encourages us to reach out to our community, check in with our family and friends to see how they're doing. A lot of the time it can be really hard to know how someone is feeling and the only way to learn is to ask them. It can be a really tricky question to ask, but it's an important conversation to have. Having this conversation is really important and will help to reduce suicide rates as more and more people going through tough times feel safe to talk about what they're experiencing.

Father's Day Stall

Thank you to all the volunteers from the Parents' Club for purchasing the extensive selection of goods to sell to the children. We also thank all the volunteers for assisting on the stall. The wide selection gave all children something that appealed to them – on behalf of their Dad. Some had great difficulty deciding what to buy. We wish that all dads of all ages had a very happy Father's Day and many more to come.
